Testimonials

Suffering from shoulder pain and having seen several docs, tried meds, heat, and other things, I was at my wit's end. Making the decision to get a massage, first from Emily, then Jennifer, a couple weeks later, was just the ticket. I have seen great improvement and highly recommend it!

SERVICES

what I do

SWEDISH

Also known as relaxation massage ― Swedish is the most common type of massage, involving soft, long, kneading strokes on topmost layers of muscles. Swedish massage is gentler than deep tissue massage and better suited for people interested in relaxation and tension relief. It may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising.

Release

MYOFASCIAL

Bodywork therapy that focuses on releasing tension and restrictions in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, organs, and bones ― helping to release trigger points (knots in the fascia), improve flexibility and range of motion, reduce pain, and enhance circulation.

STONE

Hot

Melt away stress and tension with our deeply soothing Hot Stone Massage. Warm, smooth basalt stones are gently heated, then used as an extension of the therapist’s hands to massage the body. The radiant heat from the stones penetrates deep into the muscles, enhancing relaxation, improving circulation, and easing chronic pain or stiffness.

NOT RECOMMENDED:  for individuals who are pregnant, currently on blood thinners or medications affecting sensation or circulation, who have sensitivity / lower tolerance to heat, or nerve sensitivity.

HEALING

Somatic

So • ma' means the body

So • mat • ic means relating to, or affecting the body

Somatic healing is a treatment focusing on the body and how emotions appear within it. Negative emotions can be stored in the body, expressing experiences, emotions, and traumatic events or unresolved emotional issues causing them to become 'trapped' inside for years.

Somatic massage therapy is a type of massage therapy that focuses on the body's nervous system; aiming to facilitate the body's healing of itself by relieving pain and tension. It's often used to treat conditions such as headaches, back pain, and neck pain.

CUPPING

FUSION

Cupping massage combines traditional cupping therapy with a fusion of massage techniques to improve overall relaxation, circulation and lymphatic drainage, alleviate muscle tension, stimulate the body's natural healing processes, and promote a sense of well-being.

NOTE: Cupping opens the pores by creating a reverse pressure. It's best not to submerge in water for at least 4 hours post cupping session.

Cupping marks (not bruises) can last from a few days to a week or more.

NOT RECOMMENDED: Clients with fever or acute illness, varicose veins or areas with compromised skin, very thin or fragile skin (without a gentle protocol), or extreme sensitivity to suction or touch.

CRANIOSACRAL

Therapy

An alternative massage technique, using gentle touch to manipulate the bones, tissues, and membranes around the brain, spine, and sacrum. By using light touch and specific techniques, CST aims to release tension and restrictions in this system, potentially improving overall health and well-being. The goal is to relieve tension and improve the functioning of the central nervous system. The approach can be seen as both physiological and energetic, with practitioners working with the body's natural rhythms and healing abilities.

DEEP TISSUE

targets the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue to relieve chronic tension, pain, and restricted movement. Using slow, intentional strokes and sustained pressure, deep tissue massage helps break up adhesions, improve circulation, and support long-term muscle recovery.

Ideal for those with persistent pain, postural strain, or recovery from repetitive use—this treatment goes beyond relaxation to create lasting change in how your body feels and functions.

MASSAGE

facial

Facial massage focusing on the neck, face and scalp, encourages lymphatic drainage, tension relief, and is highly relaxing ― complete with TOA's signature facial oil, hot towels, rose water or cucumber facial mist and hypoallergenic massage cream. Cupping facial also available
